Porcelain Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain shells that are bonded to your teeth to improve the appearance of your teeth. They help improve smiles by improving the defects of crooked, crowded, or misshapen teeth. Dr. Ferzli uses custom porcelain veneers to create bright, white, beautifully aligned celebrity-like smiles. Veneers can alter the shape, size, and color of teeth and are a great alternative to orthodontic treatment or dental bonding.

What Dental Problems can Veneers Solve?

Dental veneers are popular because they help solve many of the dental issues you may be suffering from, including worn enamel, wear and tear, genetics, and uneven teeth. We are born with bright, white teeth but over time enamel (the protective layer of our teeth) becomes worn down, gets duller, and becomes discolored. This is often caused by normal wear and tear and may be caused by genetics or external factors. The natural wear of teeth occurs as we get older and results in a less esthetically pleasing appearance. Our teeth are more prone to chipping and cracking, and veneers may be recommended to remedy this occurrence. Additionally, veneers have been known to provide benefits to the following:

Minimal-Prep Veneers

Minimal-prep veneers such as Lumineers are essentially the same as traditional veneers but require less invasive treatment of tooth structure. Additionally they offer patients the choice of having a reversible treatment, meaning you have the option to return to your original smile in the future. Dr. Ferzli will help you decide whether you are a candidate for this type of treatment upon your consultation.

Dental Veneers Procedure

Veneers typically take three visits to our office to place, the first for the initial consultation and two to make and install the veneers. One or more teeth can simultaneously undergo the application process so that the patient is in the dental chair for as little time as possible.
